5/28 PM: Images in Transit #1 (Tromso to Havoysund)

These videos and images document the team's movement from the relatively urban city of Tromso (pop. ~70,000) to the island of Ingoya (pop. ~21).

Gear consolidated at AkvaPlan niva. Last moments of sandal wearing.
After making our taxi driver unhappy with all our gear it was a scramble in the rain to get everything on to the boat...
Welcome Aboard

My room to share with Dr. Wanamaker. Rock-paper-scissor for the bottom bunk.
With space tight, we looked to try and rearrange the room. No dice, they chained the chair down.
Ships passing in the midnight sun. These routes up and down the coast, in and out of the fjords, are travelled 24 hrs a day by numerous ships in the Hurtigruten fleet.
Life boats of all size and shape. One of our senior thesis students from Bates College, Sam, just finished a book on the sinking of the Lusitania...how fun...
